What is wireless internet
Wireless internet is a cost effective method of delivering internet services to remote computers. We make use of a radio based point to multipoint network to provide internet access to our clients. We do not make use of terrestrial land lines so clients can be connected after placing an order in only a few days, sometimes only a few hours.
Wide area networks can be created in the same timeframe to connect two companies together that need to share data. Once on site the installation takes from 1 huor up to 3 hours depending on equipment installed.
The service relies on line of sight to function properly.
Line of sight is the term used for a clear path required between two devices that are being connected. This is one of the drawbacks of the system as there are many clients that will not be able to be connected immediately as they are in so called dead zones.
Dead zones are areas that cannot receive signal as they are either obstructed by buildings, thick bush or trees, hills or valleys.
Can I get wifi
The only sure way to tell if you can get wireless internet is to request a site survey. We will need you physical address where the connection is to be installed. A site survey will be done and you will be given an answer within 48 Hours. On most occasions we would not need to enter the property or require your intervention.
